Asylum. . . An exploration of vice, sin, and consequence. Two women, their past, a hospital bed, and a suspicious package set the stage for a journey into madness. Inside the cyclical structure of Asylum, one question arises: Who is the patient and who is the nurse?
Devised and performed by: Melissa R. Randel & Shirley Anderson
Both artists have trained extensively in Suzuki, Viewpoints, and Composition with Anne Bogart's SITI Company, in New York, Los Angeles, and at Skidmore College. This project was developed over a five month rehearsal period of physical explorations, short individually devised pieces, and experimentation with form and structure.
