How often are we truly sorry when we say, “I’m sorry.”?
Apologizing is often a shorthand for a longer conversation we want to avoid. Diving down the rabbit hole of the female apology, Sorry. examines the ease and frequency with which women apologize, and raises the question of whether the inauthentic apology undermines a women’s sense of self, her power, her place in the world.
A new play, for, by, and about women, other themes in Sorry. include: aging and beauty, breast cancer, women undermining women, and abortion. Sorry. could not be more timely.
